As a second semester senior in high school I produced my final concentration portfolio for my Advanced Placement Photography class. Some of my best works came out of this project and I would definitely like to continue capturing similar shots to the ones displayed above.
The smokers’ soul—a depiction of a habit that a little more than 1/3 of people in our world stitch into their everyday lives. The goal for my concentration was to capture candid moments of people of different ages who have no personal connection except the smoke that draws a thin line, significantly attaching every image. I chose for the photos to be restricted to black and white because the contrast and value are greatly accentuated, especially with smoke as the main subject.
